Presentations
**Change-data-capture with Debezium and Kafka (English)** **- *Remi Guittaut***
Plenty of use-cases warrant replicating data between systems, whether for auditing purposes, data analytics, Backup, migrations, etc. This was traditionally an inefficient burden, putting strain on databases, not real-time, etc. With change data capture, we can push change events in real time to Kafka, with near 0 impact on databases. As it turns out, it was in the database log all along, and gives us our data instantaneously, reliably, in order, and at scale.

**Presentation(s?)**
**Mise-en-place - The front-end for your dev env - Karl Yngve Lervåg**
*(The presentation will be held in English.)*

`mise` is a CLI tool designed to help developers maintain the correct versions of dev tools for any specific project.
Many developers work on multiple different projects.
We might even change projects often.
Each project may have their own set of requirements, such as the right version of Python, Java, Node, or whatnot.
`mise` makes it easy, almost trivial, to specify and satisfy these requirements per project in such a way that you always have the right tools for the given context.

In my presentation, I'll show how to use `mise`.
I'll cover the main tool features, including how to use it in a CI/CD pipeline.
And if there's time, I'll show some of the other features as well!

**Do you have a short (10-30 mins) presentation about a devtool you love, that you'd like to present? Get in touch with us!**
